Job Title: Court Researcher, Independent Contractor
Open Territory: Independence, KS (includes collecting data from surrounding counties)

Days per week: 1-2 days per week, M-F daytime hours availability
Pay Rate: Rate paid per record of data entered; for this territory estimated annual income is $12,926.00.
Job Description: This position requires visitation to courthouses in Independence, KS and surrounding counties, which includes counties in Southeastern Kansas and Northeastern Oklahoma, and to collect public record data, including, but not limited to: federal and state tax liens, tax lien releases, civil judgments, evictions, and satisfactions. The Court Researcher will be trained to use LexisNexis software to enter data from these court documents on a laptop that will be provided for work use.
Required Skills and Proficiencies: High School Diploma, 1-2 years work experience preferred, basic computer skills to complete data entry.
Benefits Provided: None, this is an independent contractor position with no benefits and will be considered self-employment for the Court Researcher.

Job Requirements: Travel required to surrounding counties. The independent contractor must have reliable transportation available with the ability to drive to these areas during open courthouse hours; may require long periods of standing to complete data entry, dependent on the layout and requirements of the courthouse being visited; ability to read court documents and enter into laptop software.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
